Family Practice
The Diagnostic Center of Medicine, in practice since 1977, is one of the Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Groups in Southern Nevada. We are primary health care providers for Medicare, PPO Insurers, as well as private carriers.
Emergency Care
After completing his Nursing Degree, he worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Southern Hills Hospital for two years then finished off his nursing career in the Emergency Room. He completed is Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner studies at Touro University Nevada. He is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Electrocardiogram
After a waiting period we will scan you for about 15 minutes. Next we will attach EKG leads and administer the Adenosine over a 4 minute period through the IV port. The Adenosine is a vasodialator, which will mimic the changes that occur during normal exercise. We will review these changes with you during your appointment. During this time we will be monitoring your heart rate and blood pressure and inject a second does of radioisotope. After a waiting period of 20-30 minutes we will rescan you for about 10 minutes. The total time for the exam, with waiting periods is 2 hours. There are no restrictions on your activity after the exam is finished.

An IV will be started upon arrival to provide access for two injections of a radioisotope that exposes you to minimal radiation and allows us to image your heart muscle using a Nuclear Medicine Gamma Camera. This camera is not enclosed, but if you are claustrophobic, please speak to your physician prior to the appointment.
