Great experience with Rich . We had a chronic spa problem . They were the only company
( we’ve had 2 other Naperville hot tub repair companies come out ) that had the expertise to actually fix the problem. The others gave up and/or only put band aids on it . We’re back to enjoying our hot tub !!!

Predatory Tactics and fly-by-night operation

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Paid Rich $500 for a pool opening service and got ripped off. Rich came out to my house, looked at my pool, and added pool shock. He then stated he would return at a later day to vacuum pool and get it open for the season. I wrote him a $500 check. 2 weeks later the pool turns green. I had a hard time getting ahold of Rich, but he finally came out the next day, looked at the pool and then avoided my calls/texts for another day. When he finally returned my phone call, he said I would have to pay $110/hr for him to come back and vacuum the pool. What was the point of paying $500 for a pool opening service if you don't open the pool?! I have since filed a complaint with the BBB and have wrote several online reviews letting people know that this guy is shady. Look closely and you will see different business addresses and phone numbers for Adam Pools And Spas which further confirms my suspicions of flightier-by-night operations. This man stole money from me, don't give him any of yours!

I'm in the process of purchasing a home and the home we have a contract on has a pool. Our home inspector doesn't inspect pools so I called around to pool companies, starting with the most local. First company couldn't come out for 6 weeks, second company hasn't returned my call yet (it's been 48 hours) even though I've talked to the sales department a few times. I decided to look a little further and came across Adam's Pools, I'm so glad I did. Rich came out the next morning for our pool inspection. He answered the phone each time I called. Talking to him on the phone I could tell he was very honest and knowledgeable. As long as all goes well with our home purchase, it looks like we found the company we will call for all of our pool needs. Thank you again Rich!

I am very sorry that a call/email went unanswered! We have all our call forwarded to our cell phones so 99% of our call are answered immediately. Again this is an unusual case!

he came through the big snow

to winterize our hot tub.We usually have it running year round,but it stopped running and knew it would freeze up.24 hours before the snow really hit, Rich came out (brought his own personal turbo heater). we thought it was cool enough to write a review. We will have him back to do a repair(in the spring )

Fast and Friendly

I was trying to get my pool ready early this year with this great weather but ran into some problems. I was stressing out because with 80s in the forecast I wanted the pool ready. I called Rich and he had the part I needed and fixed it within a day. Not to mention he was very friendly and polite.

Im not really a review writer,but we had such a rewarding experience that Rick needs to be commended.We had a problem with our indoor pool. It was leaking water like crazy.Adam's was the only company that actually answered their phone! Rick was out in 24 hours and found and repaired the leak.It was a very pleasant interaction.Thanks ! We wilol be calling you back.

Glad we found them

we have tried every pool company under the sun (literally for 10 years)to maintain and repair our large pool and spa.After a summer with Rich and the gang at Adam pools our search is finally over.He did evrything he said he would and always went that extra mile.He can fix stuff too! I never write reviews but good service should be rewarded!

Experience does count

We have an indoor ingound pool in Naperville and have had trouble with the plumbing for years and have had several companies out to look at it over the years. Because he was local we called Rich from Adams last week for a chronic leak.He fixed that within an hour. Based on that we hired him to redo the pvc plumbing.Not only does it work more efficiently,but it looks like a WORK OF ART.I think its the experience that made a difference.I would recommend Adams Pool.

Our indoor pool has had a mysterious algae problem forever.2 other companies gave up.Rich came out did some research and treated the algae.We learned that experience counts.We would heartily recommend him!

On Time :)

I am a contractor who needed some help on my hot tub as the winter and an electrical glitch came at the same time this year. Not a good thing.Thanx to the web, I was fortunate enough to find Rich Theis and Adam Pool and Spa. Rich came out the same morning. Made the diagnosis and returned when he said he would to complete the repair with the needed component. Well done Rich! You get my referrals any time.

small family business = big service

how nice is it to call a business and get an actual person who can answer your questions instead of some minimum wage high schooler that will put you on hold to bad elevator music! I have been using Adam Pools for years for servicing our inground pool. They may not be the cheapest, but you pay for the knowledge, attention to detail & cute service guys :-)

besides, its like going to super cuts for a dye job then having to go to your real stylist to fix their mistakes. Might as well get it done right the first time.

Adam pools saves the day

We have had a leak in our pool since the company with the biggest ad installed it last year.We have had 2 companies come out with no success.Our friends recommended Rich from Adam's and he had the problem solved within an hour!

He knows his stuff. He has also worked on our neighbors spa with similar results! Thanks Rich!

Experience is King in Pool/Spa Repair

New sales and construction seems to be the premier topic when discussing inground pools and spas. What about repair? It seems most companies focus on new construction as opposed to the service industry. Locating reliable service technicians continues to plague the consumer (myself) because very little regulation and/or oversight is required in the pool industry. So what makes a reliable service tech? Experience. Since opening Adam Pools and Spas in 1982 - Richard Theis continues to trump the competition with reliability, technical prowess and, most importantly, EXPERIENCE. My regret is that I gave so much money away to unreliable pool technicians before finding Adam Pools and Spas. I recommend Richard for your service/construction needs.

adam pools saved the day!

Our spa went down about a week before our big summers end bash.We called the guys with the biggest ad.They sent 2 college kids out,took our money, never to be heard from again.Our calls were not returned. Our neighbor recommended Adam Pools and Richard came out in 24 hours. He diagnosed the problem right away,ordered a part and our spa was fixed in time for the party.It was a shame we had to pay twice,but Richard got the job done!
