I absolutely recommend FRAH...

I absolutely recommend FRAH to all our friends. Dr Lowe saved my puppy when she had a rare disorder that no other vet in Huntsville knew how to treat. Every time I take her there Dr. Lowe is very kind and gentle. We can tell her cares about our dog like it is his. We were never pressured to give vaccinations or buy extra medications, they actually would tell you not to buy if you don’t have to, or if you should wait few more days to see if things could better on their own. It’s a very nice and clean clinic and they have boarding too, our girl goes crazy when we pull in the parking lot because she loves going in for sleepovers (sign that they do treat her well, or otherwise she wouldn’t get out of the car and run to the door). I am so glad and thankful we were able to find Dr. Lowe at Flints River Animal Hospital.
On the price/fees subject, I dont think they are overpriced, I have found other places in town that actually charges more for routines procedures and vaccinations.

I have found that I don't like...

I have found that I don't like this place. Over time they have changed, but are somehow still "wet behind the ears" and have to look things up before diagnosing, they push procedures like used car sales men and I have been nickle and dimed at this office like you would see at an emergency vet. There are better, more reasonably priced vets out there.

Thank you for your responce "anono1". I have found that most of our clients are reassured and appreciate the "looking up" and sharing of information with the client as part as building the health care team and including the pet owner as an integral part of the pet health care team. I think you have misinterpreted the extra time spent on confirming a diagnosis and client education as being "wet behind the ears". We do not "push procedures like used car salesman" or "nickle and dime" our clients. We do make recommendations for procedures that are needed for the benefit of your pets health. Since you posted anonymously I have no capability to review your pet's case to see what procedures were recommended and possibly required. Can you please expand on the "Nickle and Diming"? You always have the ability to decline any procedures that you don't think are "necessary".

This is the animal hospital I've been looking for!!! Sure the facility is state of the art - all digital - and I get a printout of all the treatments my dogs and cats receive at each visit, with suggestions and explanations for best home care ... but what makes Flint River Animal Hospital THE BEST is the care team. Dr. Lowe really cares about my animals - and me!! And he always makes time to listen to me and to answer all my questions. The whole care team is so friendly and caring - and they are all really happy every time we are there. My dogs and cats aren't afraid of going to see the vet any more! I'm telling all my friends about our great experiences at Flint River Animal Hospital.
