What this means is when a patient has a biopsy done, the specimen is sent to Ball Derm, where they examine the specimen under microscope and determine the diagnosis (benign, basal cell carcinoma, etc). Ball Derm charges a separate fee that they bill directly to the patient for this specimen analysis.
