Overall

Just had my first experience with this company and I found them to be outstanding, They repaired my lawnmower within a week, they helped me load and unload the lawnmower from my truck, and took the time to explain the best Stihl chainsaw to buy since I'm in the market for a new one. All the employees were courteous and their prices are reasonable. I'll be back.

3 weeks to "fix" my mower the first time. The problem reoccurred immediately after getting it home. Returned mower and it took them 8 weeks this time. Same problem occurred after 15 minutes of cutting. $150. Thanks a lot.

WOW! I'm really shocked at the...

WOW! I'm really shocked at these reviews.. I see that none of them purchased any equipment from them though... I have had many transactions over the years with these people and i haven't had any of these issues! I don't buy power equipment from a lumber yard, so to speak... I never really had any use for warranty claims because any problems i have had, usually was corrected while i waited or i had it returned by the end of the day. I know its hard to please everyone speaking from a "Business' owner's point of view so, i'm not so quick to judge over 1 or 2 incidences that may not went my way however, over all, i will and still do bring my power equipment to Severna Lawn for repairs & Seasonal Maintenance.. Dave has been up front with me and if something wasn't worth fixing, his recommendations always saved me money in the end.. I know its a busy place and its not like you can find a place like this on every corner so, i can see why things can take a little longer than expected but, if you don't want to be without your equipment in the spring, don't wait until its broke to have it serviced! I learned the hard way! I bring my seasonal stuff in for general maintenance during the off season so, a little wait doesn't hurt.. I don't think i would throw stones at these people for falling short once in awhile in fact, i often wonder how they get so many things fixed! I sure am glad i went to them before the last storm! Couldn't buy a generator anywhere! They told me to bring my old one in (I was told it couldn't be fixed) and they would see what they could do.. Well, i had power all through the storm thanks to them! So, YES! I would tell my best friend to go there & I will continue to use them as well..

Thanks Severna Lawn & Power and "Happy Holidays"!

This is real review that I've ...

This is real review that I've posted on other sites. I am spreading it out to make sure this guy loses business for being a jerk.

Avoid this place like the plague unless you are looking for a fist fight. This morning the owner (a short man with a mustache called Dave) called me "a punk" and "a boy" and also "a punk boy" and GOT IN MY FACE! He was seconds from felonious assault and staring me down over a freakin' lawn mower he'd said would be fixed by the time I arrived. Wow!...this guy has some anger issues! He did so simply because I had the audacity to ask for my mower back (unfixed) after nearly 2 months of poor treatment on the phone (interrupting, long hold time, and talking down,) excuses with promises to follow up, zero follow up, & altogether AWFUL customer service. They strung me along for 7 weeks with zero progress. So after being told it would be ready by Tuesday, I showed up on Saturday to find it not fixed. The guy blew up just for my asking for it back. He exclaimed that "he didn't sell me that Husqvaurna mower" Well, dingleberry, do you fix mowers or not? You sure accepted it and took my deposit 7 weeks back without flinching. Check out the other reviews, he's a brand snob, which is silly considering he's basically Sling Blade.

Please read and believe the other reviews about this place. The guy treats you like a rube and a nuisance. He doesn't care about your business and should you complain about his nonsense/incompetence, be prepared to be insulted and possibly need to physically defend yourself. They are incompetent to fix your mower and ignorant of the fact that in an age of online reviews for everything, treating your customers poorly will affect your top and bottom lines.

There's a reason why this store is empty on a Saturday in spring. Check his competition, they are packed!

Very Poor Buisness Practices

My name is Jason Kautz. I previously was a master certified mechanic and I currently own and operate a local lanscaping company. I have a story of my expierience at severna lawn and power. This year alone have purchased over 20k in equipment and tools from other places for my company. My girlfriend had bought an echo 265 small back pack blower from Home Depot for around the house and it broke. Echo refered me to this company to get it repaired under warranty. I arrived on 12/14/2010 and spoke to a man named Dave. He immediatly told me my unit was not covered under warranty because the fuel line was pulled out and thats why it wont start (I never told him it wouldn't start. That wasnt the problem). I told Dave that what he was refering to was the primer recirculating line and he was wrong, that it starts. I told Dave the problem was the throttle was only opening half way. Dave says "thats normal and i dont have a cheap blower like that one to show you". Again I told him he was wrong and showed Dave how i could minipulate the throttle to fully open that there was something broken. At this point he takes out the air filter and says" it doesnt matter anyway because the filter is damp and there is debris in the tank" Dave was trying (very abruplty) to let me know he was not going to cover my product under warranty. I nicely asked "do you want to work on this blower because your not being very nice". At this point he says "well thats what you get for buying a piece of s**t from home depot, go back there and see what they do". I maintained a courteous and respectful attitude with Dave, who I assume is the owner, my entire visit. Then he told me to leave the store.

I do most of my buisness with Atlantic Tractor. I deal with Chris. He is very professional and would never treat a potential customer like I was treated. Severna lawn and power carries a 48 in exmark walk behind that i was interested in buying and been look online at but wanted to see how they handled my blower first before I spoke to them about a mower.Needless to say im not buying it from them. They lost out on a company, a customer, and a 3k sale. There are many other professional places that can do a much friendly and better job. This guy Dave(I believe is the owner) is very rude person and makes you feel like he is doing you a favor buy waiting on you. Bowen farm supply in annapolis and atlantic tractor in davidsonville have cheaper prices and just a better operation as a whole. Do not do buisness with severna lawn and power!! I have wrote this and put a formal complaint in with echo. My main point is that all he had to say is .....hey man you didnt buy it here and we only warranty blowers that we sell but I can show you another blower if your interested. How did this guy Dave know that I didnt come from out of state and was looking for a new shop to service all my equipment. If this person can act so unintelligently when a potential customer walks in then he will also act this way when you are a customer and something doesnt go his way . Got it. Thank you for letting me speak my peace.
