If you want your tires done right, Modica Bros is where you need to go. They make sure they are balanced right, and the hub caps are put back on properly. Can't say that about some of the other places.

Went in for front-end alignment which would have cost about $80 plus tax. But the cost of driving out was nearly $700 which included replacing 4 front end parts and included a $39.95 charge for "Cleaners and Misc". I was not advised ahead of time of the $39.95 charge, nor was it posted in the store. After complaining to the General Manager about the $39.95 of not being advised ahead of time and that it was about 4 times as high as their closest competitor, he graciously refunded the money. Also, the personnel at the store were very kind and responsive. I am a strong believer in total transparency, and I would gladly pay for any charge if it was posted or if it was with my knowledge. My learning from this experience: Look for posted labor prices, get a second opinion on which parts have to be replaced, along line-item quotes, with a total drive-out quote, before accepting working on my car at any shop.
