        Dr. Mahnaz Rashti specializes in the field of Periodontics; specifically dental implants, periodontal medicine, periodontal plastic and reconstructive surgery. Patients see Dr. Rashti for various types of gum diseases as well as wisdom tooth extraction, soft tissue grafts, and other clinical treatments. In addition, Dr. Rashti is highly skilled in performing cosmetic procedures such as lip repositioning, crown lengthening, and smile correction. Dr. Rashti received numerous academic awards during her dental training and is a member of multiple academic and professional organizations. Her experience in conscious sedation, depth of knowledge, and skills in periodontal medicine enable her to successfully treat patients with varying needs, including phobic patients. Dr. Rashti received her D.D.S. degree in 1994 from the College of Dentistry of New York University (NYU). She then spent two years practicing hospital dentistry and treating medically compromised patients in West Los Angeles Veteran Administration Hospital, where she completed her general practice residency there. Dr. Rashti then pursued a three-year postgraduate study in the field of Periodontics and dental implant at the Veteran Administration-UCLA Medical Center in 1996. Dr. Rashti taught as the clinical instructor at UCLA department of Oral Diagnosis and Oral Medicine from 1994 to 1996 and then became the instructor at the clinic of Periodontics at UCLA from 1996 until 1999. She is currently the Clinical Assistant Professor at Veteran Hospital.

        I have seen Dr. Rashti for the treatment of my Gummy smile. I have been so self conscious about my smile my entire adult life. I was so embarrassed to even open my mouth and there you go, everybody starred at me gums. She was recommended to me by a friend. The minute I walked to her office, her warm and welcoming staff made me feel comfortable. They were so considerate of me being so nervous. She walked to the waiting room and greeted me. She explain every step of the treatment in detail and was very patient. She treated my Gummy Smile and I can not believe that I waited so long and suffered so much, while I could simply fix that problem. Now I smile to everyone and my self esteem is so much higher. I am very happy with her and the entire staff and I recommend her to all of my friends and family.
