Dr. Margie Corney

So caring. The gynecologist isn't fun - the Dr. Corney makes it as close as it comes. They have a new weight loss program and I can't wait to try it and tell all my friends. It's affordable and it makes sense. I really trust Dr. Corney and you will too!

I went to the practice for the adiana procedure, tubal ligation basically. I needed a depo shot and was told I would have the procedure by February. Well February came and went and so I needed another depo shot (the point of Adiana is permanent birth control, I no longer wished to take temporary birth control). The depo gave me horrible side affects and then after shot #2 I was told that they do the adiana in a grouping of 3 women. They dont order it for an individual cause that isnt "cost effective". At the appointment for the second depo shot I was told they wouldnt be doing in office depo shots because that wasnt "cost effective" any longer. I was scheduled for a third depo shot but cancelled it when they had taken so long that my referral for the tubal ligation and to see the gynecologist had expired! I was also called and told the doctor would no longer be doing the adiana procedure since it was taken off the market. They were supposed to call my insurance and get me new referrals so I could get the alternative Essure procedure done but 2 weeks later they still have not called for the referral. Most of the girls, but not all were completely rude like you just inconvenienced their day by having an appointment. Oh on another fantastic note I NEVER got to see Dr. Corney, I always saw a nurse or her PA. I highly suggest looking somewhere else for your gynecologist needs.

Her office has is wonderful, clean and her staff is very informative.

When I first met Dr. Corney she welcomed spoke to me like as if we knew one another for yours. Yet, she never lost tract of her profesionalism. I have only been a Virginian for the past Five years and she was the first and only GYN I have every been to. I look forward to seeing her and her wonderful staff every year. If at anytime I may need to come in (even @ short notice), Dr. Corney will make it possible. I is a true God Send!!!! Thanks for everythng Dr. Corney. See you later this year.

Dr. Corney and her staff are very professional, patient and have hearts full of compassion for her patients. I live in Norfolk, VA but; I must say that Dr. Corney's services are well worth the drive. I am a new patient and I am very pleased with my services. I would recommend her to every woman who is looking for a GREAT Dr.

Dr. Corney has been my physician for years. Her caring, concerned manner is surpassed only by her effort to attend to the needs of her patients. The office staff is extremely competent, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I always leave my appointments feeling confident that all of my questions have been sufficiently answered. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone seeking a great doctor.

I was looking for a good Gyn. and I asked my sister who is a surgical tech,she recommend Dr.Corney who is a very good Physicians & Gyn. When I met her in BJ Wholesale and she took the time to listen to my concerns. I decided to go and she made me fill very welcome. When I arrived at her office she took the time to examine me and asked did I have any questions or concerns. The rest is history. When I needed surgery, she told me she would take care of me and not to worry. She helped me though this procedure. She is a very outstanding and caring individual. She also saved my mother's life who is 76 years old. I will never forget how concerned she was after she examined my mother and took time with her making her feel at ease. I have recommended my best friend and other friends to her and they just love her. She is very professional,kind, and gentle. Keep doing what you do for today's Women Health.

I have been seeing Dr. Corney for over twenty years in fact she delivered my daughter more than twenty years ago and I find in the doctor such warmth and compassion that it has never crossed my mind to seek another physician. She has work with me through several serious health problems. I believe strongly that without her and her medical expertise the outcomes of these health problems may not have been so favorable.



I love her so every chance I get I tell my friends and relatives about her. And, as a consequence quite a few of them are now her patients and seem to be very comfortable with her and her medical skills. I will say unequivocally she is the best Ostetrician / Gynecologist in the Tidewater area. In addition I must applaud the fact that she having the Late and Early hours shows her interest in providing this convenience for her "valued" patients as she is so quick to say.

My regular doctor wanted me to have a hysterectomy because of recurrent uterine fibroids and I decided to get a second opinion. Dr. Corney listened to my concerns. She made me aware of other options to deal with my problem that were less invasive and enabled me to keep my uterus. One year later, my fibroids are shrinking and/or calcified. Success! I would not have had the confidence to try a different approach were it not for her advice. She is a great doctor.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Corney and I recommend her to all my family and friends. No one likes to visit the doctor but when you can go to a doctor and come out feeling as if you just visited a good friend, that is the sign of a good doctor.



A Very Happy Patient

i have been a long time patient of dr. corney and i just love her to death. she had helped me and my family through a difficult time when i was diagnosed with cervical cancer. she is an outstanding md. and i have my children seeing her as well. i am glad that i have her for my gyn needs, it makes life easier to know that there is a dr who cares about her patients and their family.

I have been a patient of Dr. Corney's for over 20 years. She delivered my child, and now my adult daughter is a patient of hers.



She is very gentle, thorough, and a very nice and knowledgeable doctor. I have always had a pleasant experience in all of my years of going to see her. Furthermore, she always makes sure she takes her time with you and answers any questions that you may have. To top it off, her office is beautifull.



It sounds like jwren21 is a miserable person. Most of her reviews on here are negative, and she really doesn't have anything positive to say about anyone or any experience she has. It seems like if you had a problem, you should have told her and I am sure she would have helped you.



I recommend Dr. Corney to everyone I know, and everyone has nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Corney.

I read this review and I was suspect of course of seeing Dr. Corney as a result of this patients comment. But, Dr. Corney was recommended so highly by several friends I decided to see her. And, after seeing this wonderful and special doctor I decided that this review was certainly not fair. This doctor has been serving the community for more than twenty (20) years. I have later found out that she was one of the first women Obstetrician Gynecologist at Chesapeake General Hospital. And, as I have said several friends had referred me to this fine upstanding physician. Some of these friends she had delivered their children and their childrens children. Of course, I do not know the particular situation of this person but, I will say there is not better physician as far as I am concerned in this area and I recommend her highly.
