Overall

My fiancé and I had a terrible experience with Supreme Lending and John Kimble. John came highly recommended by our real estate agent who pushed us to use him rather than our credit union. Big mistake! To start, he had no clue about the CA bond program he recommended to us. He told us that both my fiancé and I would meet income qualifications only to find out after making an offer on a home weeks later that only 1 of us could be placed on the loan due to income requirements. To boot, we were promised a 3.5% interest rate which in the last weeks before closing jumped to 4.5% due to John not paying attention to the bond program rates. A quick google search once he relinquished the bond name, after multiple requests told us the requirements in minutes.

After these failures, we requested a new loan officer with Supreme Lending. John denied this request as well as the request to talk with the branch manager and told us if we went with another loan officer that he would drop our loan and we would not close on time. Since we have a small child and looking at being homeless, we were forced to move forward with John.

To add insult to injury, we were also promised a “no out of pocket closing” multiple times throughout the whole process and confirmed in writing on Nov 25th. The day of closing Nov 30th, we were told that we would not be getting our $2000.00 “good faith” money back, but rather only roughly $900. Another let down and lack of attention from John Kimble. After pushing back at the closing we were able to get back a menial $1060.00. At this point we escalated the issues to the branch manager whom gave us an “I’ll look into it and call you back ASAP, I am so sorry for the poor experience”. We never received a call back or any follow up once we closed and supreme got their money.

On Dec 2nd I put in a complaint with the compliance department at Supreme Lending Corporate. We are still playing games with corporate whom keeps giving us the “its still be researched” excuse. Nothing about Supreme Lending is about supporting or providing a positive experience with buyers. There practices are fraudulent and dishonest. We are hopefully that with the CA regulations on mortgage fraud that the Bureau of Real Estate will step in and make things right because Supreme lending has proven that it won’t.
