Overall
Ok but price too high!

The steak and sides were average. The service was great. The cut of steak was average at best. Prices were outrageous for what you get. Can get much better quality for better prices at Saltgrass

Great!!!

This the first time here as we just moved to Colorado Springs from Florida. I used to be a chef and in very picky about my steak. I had a porterhouse steak and it was cooked perfect and very tasty. The service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. I definitely will be back.

A GREAT steakhouse on the west...

A GREAT steakhouse on the west side. 4659 Centennial Blvd. Colo Springs.

~ You have to try this NEW location!! ~

The steaks are cooked to order and perfection!! Love the build your own salad option. It's awesome. They let you pick from 3 different kinds of greens, then add your own favorite toppings + your choice of cheese, and dressing. The steak burgers melt in your mouth!! Get a HUGE loaded baked potato, sweet potato or your choice of side.

Country style atmosphere, laid back family restaurant, and great service! The kids always win! Service is always friendly and they work hard to get you seated ASAP. Choose from a good beer selection, they have several of the (local) Bristol brews on tap. Happy hour is $2 off everything, 50 cent Sliders, and hear they have the best prices on Bristol in town. Can't complain about that!

Dave and Mary, the owners, come by and make sure everything is just right! Well priced and a great place to take the family. PLUS, they give you a money saving coupon when you leave -- you can't beat it. We'll go back for more.

My husband, children and I frequent this location quite often. The servers are attentive, the food is phenomenal, the prices are amazing. Why go anywhere else for a good steak and exceptional service and atmosphere?

My husband and I had been loyal patrons of the South Academy since 1993. Since we now live in the central part of the city, we were overjoyed that they expanded to N. Academy which is closer to us. The north restaurant has a much different atmosphere from the south one. There is always a long wait, but we kept hoping it would get better. On March 25, we went to the north one and were told the wait would be 25 to 30 minutes. It was actually nearly an hour-oh well, it is pretty busy we thought. We watched people go in that came after we did and wondered how, since you cannot call ahead any more. We ordered our appetizers and soup/salads. Forty-five minutes later, the embarrassed server said that she had the manager checking on our main course. We got it about 15 minutes after that. We hurried, but took most of it home, as we had to pick up our son from his activity. We were there for 2 1/2 hours. The manager never visited our table, no discount, etc. We will stick with the south store.

Four of us went to dinner and had a wonderful meal. When they said the steak was big enough to split, they were not kidding. We had two salads that were huge and we picked out what we wanted on them. I had a spring salad mix with mushrooms, artichokes, bacon pieces, sunflower seeds with blue cheese dressing. It was so large i couldn't finish it--and I love salads. We split the steak and a huge baked potato with everything. With a beer and a glass of wine, the was only $36.00. You have to try it.

Unprofessional Manager Our family decided to try Texas T-Bone for the first time and our entire experience was destroyed by the Manager who had one of the worst attitudes I've ever seen in the restaurant (or any services) business. The service was fine and the food OK but I could never could recommend any restaurant managed by such an unprofessional individual. He yelled at my handicapped son and wife in front of my 95 year old mother-in-law and 2 year old grandson. If any employee ever acted like he did they would be fired on the spot. I can't see this restaurant staying in business under his management. I will definitely pass my experience on to everyone I know. My next letter will be to their corporate headquarters as soon as I get the manager's name. October 01, 2010 by Steve Morris in Colorado Springs, CO
