        Overall

        There is no greater pizza than Fricano's Pizza. This location was opened in 2003 and serves the exact same thin crust pizza as Grand Haven, which was voted Best Pizza in Michigan in a 2011 Pure Michigan contest.

        Fricano's Pizza was established in February, 2003 and serves the same original thin crust pizza pie made famous in Grand Haven in 1949. This most recent expansion to the Fricano Pizza chain, the Fricano's Pizza restaurant located at 5808 Alpine Ave., NW in Comstock Park. Voted Best Pizza in the Grand Rapids Area by website visitors on the MLive Grand Rapids Press page of the Mlive "Michigan's Best Pizza" Poll. Voted Best Pizza in the Muskegon Area by website visitors on the MLive Muskegon Chronicle page of the Mlive "Michigan's Best Pizza" Poll. Claimed by thousands of loyal customers to be the best they've ever had. Fricano's pizza remains the original and most famous pizza and pizzeria in Michigan. In 1949 the late Cosimo (Gus) Fricano, founded what is believed to be the first pizzeria in Michigan, Fricano's Pizza Tavern, in Grand Haven with the original thin crust pizza pie.
