A World of Tile

I will never do business with this company again. Since 2001 I have spent over $3,400 with this company remodeling my kitchen and two bathrooms, and would have continued to do business with them for a third bathroom. However; I recently found 3 pieces totaling $60 that I wanted to return for a store credit. The Manager, Mike, was not in when I came, but the clerk told me that even though the pieces exceeded the 6 month return policy, he was confident that Mike would take them back as they sell those all of the tme. I called MIke a couple of days later and he refused to take them back citing store policy. I couldn't believe this, given how much money I had spent with them, and the fact that they could easily resell them. I told Mike that I would never do business with them again. Very shorted sighted on his part.

This store was very helpful and offered a good selection at a reasonable price. They had to have some of my tile made into bullnose which was no problem. But, 7 days later I call on two separate days to see where my bullnose is. No callback. I call a third time and find out they haven't even placed the order! Somehow they forgot. No explanation from them except "we screwed up."

We bought some tile on sale elsewhere for creating a backsplash in the kitchen. I wish I had started at World of Tile before buying the tile. First of all the selection was far larger than the retailer where we bought our tile. The other retailer did not specialize strictly in tile and thus some of our questions went unanswered. Also, we could have bought something different and better at the same price we paid elsewhere. We were on a deadline to get our DIY project done and to speed up the process, ensure we did not repeat hubby's previous experience with breaking tile while cutting it (and thus saving the marriage!), we asked WoT if they would cut our tile. We had simple, straight cuts to make. Ryan at this store was so helpful. He explained that there were some orders ahead of ours and gave me an approximate time for picking up my cut tile. He asked if we had this tool, that product, and made some suggestions on how to finish our project. He answered my specific questions.
