Seamstress Shine, LLC

I hired Melissa owner of Seamstress Shine to make a window valence on 11/3/17. She told me that she was backed up with work and that it would be at least 3 weeks for completion. She charged me $120 for the job and told me that she needed 50% up front to start. She swiped my card and text me the receipt. When I got home I saw that she had charged my credit card the full $120.00. Based on the phone and text log I have kept, I have 12 documented attempts to contact Melissa and get my drapes. Melissa was supposed to come last Saturday 12/16 and deliver my drapes after 5pm and she never called or delivered my drapes and valence. I sent her 2 text messages today 12/18 and tried leaving her a voicemail but her mailbox was full and could not leave a message. I informed Melissa of my timeline & that I needed the valence and the drapes I bought from JCPenney that I left with her to match up the color of the trim/border. She reassured me every time a meeting or deadline was discussed that she’d deliver and that I would LOVE it, be happy and that it would all work out, all of which was a sugar coated blatant fallacy. Her intentionally misleading & unethical behavior has me out of $120 (cost of service never rendered), $420 (cost of fabric) not to mention, she abused my time and my gas. I feel robbed and disrespected. What saddens me is I am helpless. There’s nothing I can do to get her to respond or get my things back. Based on these unethical business practices she should not be allowed to service anyone.
I choose to support a small businesses and in turn, I was robbed of my money and my goods, mislead and ignored. Do not invest your money here. Doing business here is a first class ticket to being given the run around and having nothing to show for it. If I had to choose between patronizing here or voting for Trump. I’d be the first in line to vote for Trump. I am THAT displeased.
