Rice Wok Chinese Restaurant

I ordered the Kung Fu chicken, and it was fantastic. The chicken was lightly breaded and fried CRISPY. The texture was out of this world. It is served in a brown, spicy sauce with green pepper, onion, and some Chinese vegetables. Absolutely delicious. I gave the place a shot because of the 5-star reviews, and am now compelled to share this place with others. The lunch special is $5.50 (as of Dec 2015) and comes with a good sized portion of the meal and fried rice, with a crab cheese wonton and a can of pop. Great value.

Alright, at first I thought the other 5 star reviews may have been just from family and friends...being that this is a new place. Wrong and/or I don't care! I just ordered food for my family of 4...AWESOME!!! Chinese food done right! One review said something like "don't let the fact that it is in a strip mall fool you...it is good" (or something like that). Yeah, it is in a strip mall but it is very clean inside, the people are very friendly and the food is amazing! Plainfield has needed a place like this for a long time now! My new favorite place!

I'm crazy about this place! The food is always fresh and delicious. My favorite dish is the "Szechuan Bean Curd" (vegetables and tofu). It's loaded with a beautiful colorful assortment of fresh vegetables. My husband also likes the sesame chicken. They know how to cook like NO ONE else - - it's amazing!! The food is so flavorful, and the tofu is perfect: a little crispy on the outside. My husband is nutso over their crab cheese (crab rangoon) (best in town). The place is ultra clean, and they are the nicest people in the world. I order my food "vegan" (they get it), and "extra hot pepper" (beware: those hot peppers are hotter than any you've EVER had around here). My husband isn't vegan but he LOVES the Szechuan Bean Curd, because it is simply the best dang dinner or lunch you'll ever have. And I don't toss off good reviews casually!!!

We ordered the Family Dinner for two. Huge portions, actually more than we could eat. Egg rolls were delicious, crab cheese delightful, and the main course was great! We are planning to go back as soon as we finish the left overs. I will be recommending this ti everyone. Maybe the best take out on the Northside. I'm actually planning out next take out night!
