Strands Hair Salon

Well first off I want to apologize to every women that's asked for a specific cut at a salon and the stylist failed to give you what you wanted it is very frustrating. I want to share my experience at strands salon its about 3 weeks before Christmas my birthday is on the 13th of December my husband and I had been saving up for my birthday slash Christmas gift which was my hair to be done for me something that I could be proud of I dread spending any kind of money on myself being that I and my husband have 3 kids not to mention this is weeks before Christmas but my husband really wanted to make me happy. So I go into the salon and I get a consultation with a woman named Michelle I expand my trust in her she explains to me that going blonde and caramel from dark brown can be hard the first time around but promises me over and over again that she would never let me walk out with orange hair.she also promised me that she would watch my hair very closely and see if it was breaking off because I made it a point to her that I am very witty about the length of my hair. so we get done after 6 hours of working on my hair she put about a half inch thick pile of product on my head I really didn't know what to think as I am walking out she promises me that she would charge me $200 if she got it the way it looked in the picture I specifically showed her in our consolation it came nowhere close. Still she charges me $200, the next day I wash out my hair and blow dry it I had to scrub my scalp so long to get all the product off of it so I blow dry it and it is absolutely damaged I feel that she did not watch my hair carefully and it is also very orange with a green tent to the blonde on my head. When I contact her and the only thing she says is that she had me sign a waver off to my hair possibly not being exactly the way it was in the picture but she said not one thing about how she agreed not to let me have orange hair she wanted me to go back into tone it up the condition of my hair I didn't dare, which I later found out by another stylist it was a very good choice I had made then I called back like she told me to do and I say that I would like some of my money back so I could get it fixed being that it is around Christmas time or I would like for her to put a fill in it and color it for me she then told me if I called back she would call the cops and that they're pretty much sick of listening to my crap I have been crying about this for days I really hope it doesn't have to happen to anybody else. on a good note I have a new stylist and she is very very honest and professional I would not recommend this salon nor the stylist to anybody it's not the money that she took from my family but its the repair to my hair thats going to take years to possibly repair. it's locked of morals freestyle if you even do something to somebody's hair that's a no going to damage it I admit I have never went to school for hair I don't know anything about it but that's what I trustrd in her for a professional to inform me with this stuff she did say that it would be damaging to my hair yes but she did not tell me that she would let me walk out with my hair completely orange and then treat me the way she did almost like it was my fault that I am uninformed about hair when I'm not the one that went to school she is it's just not moral to perform something on somebody's hair that you as a professional no is not in any state for that, but at this salon and specific stylist I guess she will do anything for the dollar even if its damaging to her clients hair, I truly feel like my lack of knowledge about hair was used against me by someone who calls himself a professional and then later use to be my fault.

I love strands salon and all the wonderful ladies that work there, they are all self employed women who are given a chance to be successfull, its shamefull and mean that anyone would come here and write a review like that, I know Chanel and she is not only a fab stylist who I love, she is also a mother and wife. They all work so hard to make me feel comfortable when I go there. I get to relax, have fun, laugh and leave feeling beautiful.

I went to Strands in Greeley . I walked in with almost waist length hair. I was given Chanel. I was explicit to the girl on the phone AND Chanel that I wanted my hair cut to my shoulder blades , colored and shagged. She ACTED like she understood but next thing I know she is cutting off my braid above my shoulders. I freaked I didn't know what to do. I figured oh well its done its grows quick don't freak out causde its not close to done. She asked me to pick out the shade of red I wanted and then asked if I would like highlights. I agreed. Her idea of coloring your hair is just to foil it ( even though I specifically told her I didn't like fake looking chunks of color) Although the color was kinda pretty she only did the top of my head then instead of shagging my hair she cut it in a loopsided bob. It was horrible. She had another appt show up and wisked me out. I was in shock. Went home slept on it looked at it and in tears called her. She was very dismissive and informed
