Shining Stars Academy

This woman does not love children. Do not drop your kids off there to be anywhere near her evil spirit. I don't have any issue with the daycare but I will say the owner is very evil and vindictive. She rents out an apartment above the daycare and she is currently trying to force my sister out who receives assistance from The Housing Authority. She tried to evict her through the court but it was dismissed because she has no reason to put her out. She tells the judge that she has been an excellent tenant for 5 years. She switches from nice to evil very fast and could very well be bipolar.She has received her rent on time as always but because they will not give her an increase she locked her out and cut off her power with the breaker box and is holding her mail. And she is not returning the rent. On top of that my sister has 4 small children but she can care less about children. Don't leave your children with the evil one.

I recently brought my child to attend the shining stars academy. It was a horrible experience. My son is six years old. He went there for three months. He told me two times when I had picked him up that the staff did not feed him and one of the times the staff had used his snack as a way of punishment and the woman who was serving snack threw it in the trash! The other time he just told me they did not give him a plate of food a dinner time. My sons jacket came up missing. The staff told me that they did not care and they were not reliable. Everyone that works there is rude and the director is the worst one with a bad attitude. When I started to question the daycare the director told me since I wasn't satisfied with the care me and my son are not allowed back at the daycare! The director didnt even try to resolve the problem she just dismissed everything I was telling her. I made complaints but I feel like the matter will get sweeped under the rug. I still want to pursue action even if that means I have to get on the news. Their behavior toward me and my son is not acceptable. I would not recommend this day care because my child was going there on a drop in basis and the women at the front desk had and attiude because I was not bring my child there Full time. I think this was an money issue. If they did not want to care for him why did they offer the services? While my child was in the care of the Shining Star team my child always came home with a funny smell and was dirty. At the Shinning Star Academy my child was always sick and when I came at night to pick up my child, all of the children were locked down in cribs or in High Chairs. The staff is very rude and disrespectful. Not to metion that when the staff changes the children diapers the use the same table for all children with nothing under the child. This is nasty and the table is dirty. This place is pack with children and they do not have enough help to care for all of the children. Please do not take your children to this place I beg you!!!

This place is filled with dirty cribs and a flithy kitchen! Do not leave your kids here for even one minute. The staff is very rude, they will not take certain chilren for "diferent" reasons. My child was enrolled in that place and always came home dirty and with a funny smell and stayed sick. The changing table that they use is dirty and the staff do not wipe it off or use some kind of dressing on these tables. All the children get changed on that same table. They lock the chilren down in cribs and high chairs. STAY AWAY
