At first glance, Chopstick looks inviting, and has potential. The buffet food itself is well displayed and promptly replenished.
But while the food scores high on presentation, it falls miserably short on taste. This was some of the blandest food I have ever eaten anywhere, much less from a Chinese restaurant! The lo mein noodles weren't cooked in an Asian style, but more resembled Italian pasta, with soy sauce instead of marinara. The hot and sour soup was inedible, and the most disappointing part of the whole meal. I took one bite, and quickly had to kill the flavor with cake. The sauces often tasted like straight-out-of-the-bottle dollar store generic marinades, especially the sweet and sour sauce. The sushi was even bland and devoid of normal seasoning. The coconut shrimp was decent enough for fast Chinese food you might order in the mall, but not fully restaurant worthy, and the General Tso's chicken made me feel like I was just eating for sustainance, to get full; not for pleasure.
However, the service was on point, and the best feature of Chopstick.

Sunday july 17th 2016. Oh my gosh terrible! Was in long beach ms, really hungry and craving chinese food. Noticed they had sign stating they were voted top 100 best Chinese restaurants. Showed up around 3:30pm. Ordered off menu take out To feed 4 people. They had dinner for two $30 which they assured would be enough. Ordered two fried rice, szechuan chicken, general chicken, and hot & sour soup. The fried rice was barely fried rice with nothing in it. No scrambled eggs in it. Tasted more like white rice. The szechchuan sauce was very bland and the chicken just barely cooked and seemed like it was thrown in at last minute. No flavor. The general chicken was only decent tasting item except for the fact that they put 4 to 5 large broccoli florets to avoid filling up the container. The soup was aweful. I could have gone to mall for better tasting counter service chinese. Furious over paying that much.

The food is pretty good, howev...

The food is pretty good, however there's no variety so if you eat here on a regular basis your options never change. Great to-go option, take what you want from the buffet and they charge by weight. Price goes up 50 cents per pound at night for the same food.
