Ants
Armstrong's provides thorough pest control treatments of your home. Areas of high insect activity are targeted; for example, plumbing penetrations, tub box accesses and attic spaces. These areas are treated with boric-acid based products which have a long residual life and are weatherproof. Additionally we can also treat your lawn for the control of fire ants.
Spiders
Arachnophobia is no laughing matter. For spider control, Armstrong's targets entry ways such as windows and eaves, cracks and crevices. We use long lasting products such as Suspend, manufactured by Bayer corporation.
Termites
A soil treatment begins with a thorough inspection of the home to pinpoint areas conducive to subterranean termites and to determine if any are present. A treatment is customized to the building's specific type of foundation (for example: raised pier, floating or monolithic slab). Soil treatments are warrantied for 1 year with an option for the owner to renew annually. Standard soil treatment contracts carry a retreatment guarantee.
Fleas
Whether you own your home or are planning to buy, you'll want to protect your investment with professional care. Not only are we licensed and knowledgeable, but we also care about your quality of life and the environment. For native subterranean and Formosan termite prevention, Armstrong's uses non-repellant termiticides such as Termidor. The active ingredient in Termidor is fipronil, the same substance used in Frontline which is prescribed by veterinarians to control fleas on dogs. With non-repellants like Termidor, subterranean termites travel through the treated soil and get a dose of fipronil. Then, because termites are social insects, they return to the colony and transfer the active ingredient, achieving colony elimination. Hives and swarms are removed live and relocated to Jeff's or friend's apiaries. It is our common practice to share the honey the bees have made with our customers. If you haven't tried fresh honey, you are in for a real treat! We are licensed beekeepers and listed with the LSU Agriculture Center.

Crickets
Armstrong's can treat your entire yard areas for up to 3 months control in most cases, for fire ants. Granular products are used, which help control fleas, mole crickets, and fire ants. The granular product, (Talstar pl) gets down into the grass thatch for a time released affect that when applied properly is safe for animals and humans.
Beetles
The report is based on a visual inspection of all readily accessible areas of a building to determine if there is evidence of infestation or damage by subterranean termites, drywood termites, powder post beetles, old house borers, carpenter ants, and carpenter bees (the most common threats to building construction in Louisiana). Any evidence of infestation or insect damage is documented on the report to assist the home buyer and the building inspector in properly assessing the building's condition.
