        The Greater Miami Service Corps is one of the original 11 youth service corps in the United States. The organization's mission is to enhance the employability and self esteem of young adults between the ages of 18 and 23. It utilizes public and private ventures to provide community improvements and develop skilled workers. The Greater Miami Service Corps engages in beautification projects, disaster relief and housing construction. The organization performs graffiti removal, landscape maintenance, tree planting and beach services. It relies on the generosity of individuals, government, corporations and foundations for funding.
