John Hall joined the firm as a partner in July, 2015. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Connecticut. Since law school, his practice has involved mainly real estate transactions, property litigation, and general litigation. He has extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate transactions and—having represented clients in land use and title disputes both privately and as counsel for Chicago Title and other insurance companies—is well placed to resolve the many issues which can derail a closing, including regulatory and landlord-tenant issues. Attorney Hall is also very familiar with the lending and loan underwriting process from his representation of borrowers in foreclosure representation and loss mitigation.

For most of his career, Attorney Jarboe practiced in the area of municipal law and civil litigation. He represented the Town of New Canaan as town attorney or assistant town attorney for more than twenty years, providing legal advice to elected officials, town boards and commissions, department heads, and town hall staff. This involved legal advice on a wide variety of issues, from the Freedom of Information Act and public hearing procedures, to land use appeals or enforcement cases in court or administrative agencies (planning and zoning, subdivisions, inland wetlands and watercourses, health code, building code, animal control, tax assessment and tax collection, etc.), to drafting ordinances and regulations. At other points in his career as an assistant to the town attorney, Attorney Jarboe represented the Town of Weston, and the Town of Wilton, and occasionally he did legal work on projects for the First Taxing District of the City of Norwalk, the Second Taxing District of the City of Norwalk, and the Third Taxing District of the City of Norwalk. With extensive experience in municipal law, Attorney Jarboe now advises individuals and small businesses in legal issues that arise with towns and cities, such as zoning permits and approvals, zoning variances, subdivision applications, wetlands questions, tax assessment appeals, and code enforcement. His practice also includes general civil litigation and probate litigation.

Attorney Jarboe is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Connecticut. This includes the Superior Court, the Appellate Court, and the Connecticut Supreme Court, as well as the Probate Courts for the state. In addition, Attorney Jarboe is admitted to practice in the federal courts for this jurisdiction, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. These court admissions have not been for purely ceremonial purposes or for decorations on his office wall; at one point or another in his career Attorney Jarboe has represented clients in each of these courts. Currently, most of his court work is in the Connecticut Superior Court or Probate Court, with appellate work as required. Attorney Jarboe has been appointed by the Connecticut Superior Court to serve as a Fact Finder/Arbitrator for personal injury cases and contract cases (since 2000), and as a Foreclosure Committee (since 1991).
