Matilija Veterinary Hospital

Having a variety of pets for over 30 years, we have gone through our likes and dislikes of vets throughout Ventura County. So, we decided to try out Matilja Veterinary Hospital and met Dr. Bailey with a very sick dog. It was on the other side of town in Ojai. Convinced we were going to have to put our baby down and in the past vets have just looked and agreed that there was nothing to be done. However, Dr. Bailey was determined, he went above and beyond all the while being honest and discovered what was wrong, a very rare autoimmune disease. He was up front and yet very kind during this scary time. He has since treated all our pets from rats to horses. I would trust no one else than this clinic and their dedication to animals to treat my babies. Sadly, animals do pass and we tend to want to blame someone, usually the vet who tried to save them. Bottom line is this, out of any vet in the Ojai Valley this is the place to go for a full service veterinarian service for all your pet

i brought my 7 year old male diabetic schnauzer into the office for skin allergy, dr prescribed keflex, my dog died 17 days later from kidney and liver failure, keflex is not to be given to a uncontolled diabetic dog.
