I can only assume that the guy I talked to today was the owner or the owner makes awful employment choices. I will never spend money in this place again. The owner is a jerk, basically shooed me out of his store for not letting him run my card as a pin debit. It was a regular card, I'm not going to pay 18.99% so he could get a break on his processing costs. He must already be going under if he treats a customer this way. I say enjoy the unemployment line J!

I rarely ever go as far as posting a negative review on a business even if I have a bad experience but the attitude and rudeness of the OWNER that I experienced yesterday was almost surreal. He and another worker were friendly enough as we entered the store and shopped and offered to help with any questions that we may have regarding wine. We went to check out and I had purchased a gift certificate off of Half off depot and presented it to him at check out. He pushed it back at me in a very rude way and told me he lost 14k by doing this deal and wasn't going to honor them anymore....I was so shocked that I thought I heard him wrong and actually had him repeat what he just said. As I said - it was kind of surreal...I have never had a legitimate business refuse an absolutely valide coupon/gift certificate before. Not only did he refuse it but his attitude about it blew me away. He turned into a complete jerk who was acting like I was trying to get one over on him.The thing is we were purchasing items that went well above the value of the certificate so they were certainly going to make money on the transaction. I hate to hear that they lost so much money by taking a gamble using Half off depot but honestly that is not my problem. That has absolutely no bearing on refusing to honor a perfectly good certificate that I had purchaed. There is liqour stores everywhere...no need to go to one that pulls stunts like this and treats their customers this way.

Visit JBD (J's Beverage Depot of course) and you'll have a great experience...and not leave empty handed. Their staff is 1st class (friendly, courteous, experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated, etc...great customer service)! Their products are 1st class as well (premium wines, beers & spirits). Prices...well, can't beat 'em! I almost forgot to mention...the store is clean and organized (easy to find what you're looking for). Best beverage depot this side of the Mississippi! :)
