Thank you to Dr. Hubsher and his team for taking such wonderful care of our 6 year old lab, Lucy. We are new patients and came to see Dr. Hubsher because we sensed that something was just not right with Lucy. After a very thorough exam and testing, he patiently explained her diagnosis, treatment options, including cost considerations, and proposed a multi step treatment. He answered all of our questions and would call us himself with the results of any tests. Lucy has never looked and felt better. It is apparent from the sparkle in her eyes! The staff is attentive and warm, and we are very appreciative of the care and compassion of everyone in the office.

Greetings, I would like to offer a note of thanks to Dr. Hubsher who recently treated my 12 year old Golden Retriever Harley. Without an obvious case for his symptoms, Harley, who is nearly 12, was clearly not feeling well, but he was keeping the source of his discomfort to himself. Dr. Hubsher took quite a bit of time to examine Harley carefully and offered a few tests to help guide a treatment plan. With test results not pointing to anything directly, Dr. Hubsher laid out several options for consideration. He was very candid about the advantages and potential concerns of each option including the cost considerations. In addition to Dr. Hubsher and his staff’s caring treatment of Harley, what I most appreciated was Dr. Hubsher’s candor, and phased approach to treat Harley so that we could monitor any progress resulting from the treatment and make adjustments along the way. He called regularly with test results and to see how Harley was feeling. A level of care and concern that meant a lot to me.

I used to live around the corner from South Salem Animal Hospital so when I got my first dog, Emmy, it seemed a natural choice to use as my Vet. What a fortuitous decision that has been. After nearly 24 years and a move of over an hour away, I still bring my dog (my third) down to Dr. Hubsher and his staff.



The doctors and staff have never deviated from the philosophy that no matter whether the animal is domestic or wild they are all God's creatures and therefore deserving of our compassion and best efforts.

Dr. Hubsher and his staff have been extraordinarily devoted and caring to me and my pet.

Unfortunately, my dog Bosco developed a serious kidney disease. Dr. Hubsher worked miracles. He worked tirelessly and did everything possible to help my Bosco who is now doing very well. I only wish my human doctors paid as much attention to me as Dr. Hubsher did to my Bosco.

I recently brought my new puppy to South Salem Animal Hospital. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was so friendly and sincere. They couldn't stop kissing my puppy(an 8 week old golden retriver). Dr. Hubsher was so caring and explained the vaccine schedule and gave me lots of advice on housebreaking and all types of training. My 8 year old son was with me and when we left he declared that he wants to be a veterinarian like Dr. Hubsher when he grows up. I wish my pediatrician's office was more like South Salem Animal Hospital

We have had full trust in South Salem Animal Hospital for more than 15 years. Our beloved corgi, who is 14 years old, was recently unwell and we weren’t sure if he would make it through. He received excellent and compassionate care from Dr. Hubsher and Dr. Richards, and we are infinitely grateful for all they did to help guide our dog back to good health. The doctors’ knowledge, professionalism and patience not only sustained us through an incredibly difficult time, but most importantly, helped our dog regain his strength and wellbeing. Much appreciation also goes to each and every one of their incredible staff for the love, attention, and personalized care they gave to our dog during his stay. (The receptionist even called to follow up and see how he was feeling after he left the hospital.) With glowing heart, we highly and most sincerely recommend South Salem Animal Hospital for all they to do to keep our cherished pets in good health.

I have been bringing my dog & cat to South Salem Animal Hospital for two years for routine things but when my yellow Lab got really sick

Dr. Hubsher knew just what to do. He diagnosed "Buddy" quickly and he was back like himself in a couple of days. The thing that impressed me most was the feeling that everyone seemed so competent and caring . It just felt right.

This is a great place. I have been a client for years and will continue to take my pets here. Dr. Hubsher has come to my house to see my sick pet, even on a saturday night. He really cares. They even picked up my dog when I had to work and couldn't bring him in for an exam. Thanks for the exceptional service!
