He provided an estimate and told me he has another job in the neighborhood and if I wanted to save money he was willing to combine both job this way he can do the job sooner and cheaper. The only thing is that the other job was scheduled for the next day so if I wanted to do it I need to give him a deposit at that time. He ask me for a check or cash no credit card accepted. He told me he was license and insure and has 25 years in business. I gave him the check that ended up being more than 50% deposit. The job was never done, He did promptly cash the check in a Pawnshop so he does not even have a business bank account. He does not have a license and as far as I can tell no insurance. When I told him I will be reporting him to the Attorney General Senior versus Crime He told me to be careful and that I was messing with the wrong person. He technically threaten me if I dare to complaint

We hired this company for driveway work in early January and it was not completed until 4 weeks after the agreed upon date. After completion two weeks ago the contractor has not conducted clean up and left trash, concrete blocks from the demolition, and boards with exposed nails at our house where there are small children.

We have paid in advance. He seems to have an excuse every other day as to why the job is not done. It has been 7 + weeks since we spoke to Matt and paid what he requested for a partial driveway cement job. Thinking of filing a small claim.
