General Info
Since we opened our first medical center in 1989, we have recognized your need for a faster, more convenient solution to life's non-life threatening urgencies. If you believe your life is at risk, please call 911 or go to an Emergency Room; however, our center can typically handle most medical issues. All of our walk-in clinics offer experienced clinical teams, digital x-ray systems, and on-site labs to help diagnose and treat a wide range of injuries and health issues. We are available for those times when you need an experienced licensed provider or physician, not necessarily an appointment. We also provide a full spectrum of occupational medicine, such as on-site drug screens and pre-employment exams. Let us help you feel better today!

Worst experience I have ever had with a walk in medical center. The place looks like a wreck. I was taken into a room where I waited over an hour to see the doctor. I wish I would have gone anywhere else but here.

I went in because of a knee injury to Patients First on N. Monroe St. across from Lake Ella. The attending physician told me that my knee was not fractured after the x ray. Then three days later a nurse calls me and tells me that the radiologist had later diagnosed it as a fracture. I went to pick up the cd of the x ray and report and the report was completely opposite from what the nurse had told me. The report said essentially that the knee completely healthy and had no fracture I spoke to the head nurse later after discovering this discreprency but was so frustrated I didn't get the nurse's name or flat out wasn't presented to me. She offered me no explanation for the mix up. I later called to find her name and the receptionist just kept putting me off and refused to tell me when the medical director was coming in. I also wanted to get the name of the nurse who had called because I wanted to bring this discreprency to the attention of the medical director. After asking the receptionist for the name of this other nurse this receptionist said that she would have to pull my records then after about 20 minutes she finally said that I would have to speak with a nurse. This nurse bluntly refused to give me the nurses who had called me with no explanation. This is clearly not normal whatsoever. She also told me that the medical director wouldn't be in until the next Thursday which I knew this was untrue because a nurse had told me at the initial appointment that she would be in Wednesday and she even called me the next morning. There apparently was something that they didn't like about me and didn't trust me. The doctor said that morning that I just didn't understand what the nurse had told me when she said that I had a fracture and that when she said I had a fracture that it really didn't mean a fracture and that since I wasn't a medical person that I couldn't understand this. I'm not stupid. The nurse clearly stated that the radiologist diagnosed the knee as fracture . I even had asked her to repeat it to make sure. I explained to her that the two individuals had refused to tell me the nurse's name and she just evaded the question like she thought I was stupid and would just forget about. I checked with about ten different walk in clinics later that night in the northeast and spoke ten different nurses to make that I was right, and they all said pretty much the same thing that them not giving those nurses names was completely unprofessional and downright rude and incompetent. This receptionist and nurse seem to have no concern for what kind of impression they made on me and had little respect for me. These people bite the hand that feeds them. They don't even have enough sense there to treat there good paying long established costumers with proper respect and they're confused. I had planned to do a lot of business with them.

I've since found out that this a small town operation and is not affiliated with the professional Patients First Neighborhood Medical Centers in the Northeast nor is it associated with the ones in South and Central Florida, although they may have a few branches in Missouri.

Thinking that my medical care would be more private in a private facility, I went to Patients First with my roommate on May 15th, to have post surgery stitches removed from my chest. The attending doctor told me to take off my shirt and bra, never leaving the room or offering me a gown. He asked how much my surgery had cost. After I answered, he commented about how expensive that was and he told my roommate that for that price he shoud have done two for one... He made an important decision in my life crude and ugly.
