Overall
Scammer Alert!!!

They advertise cheap oil change but then try to get you to upgrade and buy additional things without quoting a price. You don't find out what the true cost of everything is until last minute when it costs $100 or more! For the same oil change that would have cost $30 elsewhere. I've never been so badly scammed.

My friend told me she paid over $100 for an oil change here too and was pressured into additional upgrades and the man never told her how much it would be until she was about to scan her card.

Go somewhere else with honest people!!!

Overall
I'm writing this review for a ...

I'm writing this review for a female family member. She was instructed that

the transfer case fluid in her '04 Chevy Silverado SS needed service.

When she asked how much the service tech quoted her $69.99 in addition to the

$120 oil change she originally went in for.

The service tech then informed her that the fluid used for the transfer case was

approximately $100 a quart and that if she were to take it to any other service shop the cost would exceed $500. Feeling that she was being mislead she opted out of the service. After returning home she informed me of her experience and I decided to look into this $100 a quart transfer case fluid.

I called the nearest Chevrolet dealership and explained what my sister had been told. Not only did the service department scoff at the idea of the price she had quoted they got a good laugh out of it. The fluid in question is AUTO-TRAK II Fluid (GM Part No. U.S. 12378508, in Canada 10953626).

The parts counter person then informed me that I could purchase the fluid for

$8.99 a quart and that they stock cases of it. Contrary to what the Xpress lube tech had told my sister (That the T-case fluid was very difficult to obtain).

So to recap Texaco Xpress Lube has just lost a longtime customer and I will be sure

to let as many people know that Texaco Xpress Lube uses high pressure tactics/misinformation and lies to "up sell".

Come on Xpress lube.... its fine to offer more services but you guys don't have to

deceive customers especially women in order to make a sale.
