Dr. Smith holds vaccine clinics every spring to help pets of those who can’t afford the go to the vet for a full office visit and check up. Offers the 1-year or 3-year rabies vaccine (with tag) and distemper booster at a fraction of the cost of going in for a visit. They are always held in the spring. Call the office to ask about times and locations. Even though my 4 dogs go to the vet at least once per year we have used the clinics for over a decade. The staff is wonderful with the pets and will answer any questions you have.

Overall

I called this hospital about an emergency with my 10 month old kitten. I told the receptionist, Chasity what symptoms that she was having: my little one got to where she couldn't walk, and when she did try to walk she would fall over on the floor. She also coughed up blood at one point. She said that the Vet was with a client right at the moment, but once he was done, she would talk to him and call me back within 20 minutes. Before hanging up, I asked if they allowed their clients to take payments on emergencies like that. She told me that it depended on the animal and the emergency. Well, again, they never called me back. I called THEM this morning. The first time I called I got hung up on. I called again and when i told her who i was, I asked her why nobody called me back yesterday within the 20 minutes like they said that they would. Her excuse: they don't accept payments. Well, payments or not, the least they could have done was called me back and let me know. I just don't understand these Vets here in Washington. They went to school to care for animals like I did. Of course, I am not a vet. I went to and graduated as a Vet Assistant , Conservation Mgt, and Holistic Meds for animals so I know the expenses you incur for your education while also need to make money to provide a living for yourself and family. But I also know that you should have had a love and compassion for animals to not let money come in the way to make sure the sick or injured get well. But these Vets I have contacted are more concerned about money and now that I know which ones care about nothing but making that money and not show concern for animals -while also not wanting to return calls when they say that they will - you can bet i won't use them for my animals and nor will I recommend them.
Also, I found a great Vet that does show care for the sick animals. They will be getting excellent recommendations.
